International Connections

We have developed a close working relationship with the Anglican Schools' Commission in Queensland, and would like to find more ways of sharing ideas, resources and exchanges.

There are Anglican churches in 165 countries across the world. Since the time of the first Queen Elizabeth, the Anglican Church has striven to hold unity while maintaining and rejoicing in complexity and diversity. Sometimes we have been more successful than at other times! But this website marks the fact that, with all our differences, we belong to the one wide and wonderful network.

"Deeply Christian, serving the common good." The Church of England takes education seriously and has poured time, energy, skills and money into creating an educational vision that any school in the UK could adopt. They have also been generous in their willingness to work with and support us in any way they can. We cannot put personal emails on this site, but contact Anne at the Office if you want to approach someone in this Education Office directly.

The Anglican Schools in South Africa have a lot in common with us in New Zealand, and have produced some quite remarkable resources. Our "A Whole Community" document takes its seven headings from the equivalent ABESA document. Roger Cameron is the CEO.

Like the Church of England network, the NAES is an enormous collection of Anglican Schools. They are extremely hospitable if any chaplains, principals or RE teachers wanted to visit, and their website has a number of carefully considered documents on what it means to be an Episcopal School.
