Ethics workshops for students

enQuiring minds workshops

enQuiring minds workshops are interactive seminars which provide a space and opportunity for young people to meet, explore different views on a particular issue, and work together to create an inclusive community, focused on the well-being of all. Workshops are for Year 7 to Year 13 students – in appropriate groupings. We utilise a variety of genres, such as drama, art, music, film, literature and dialogue, in order to engage students in meaningful critique of contemporary issues such as:
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Technology at the beginning of life
  • Technology at the end-of-life
  • Identity, sexuality and consumerism
  • Media and social responsibility
  • Citizen involvement and taking a stand
  • Science and the criminal mind
  • Crime and punishment
  • Ethics and sport
  • Organ donation
  • Transport and the ways we move
  • Environmental ethics
  • Building community in Aotearoa (which explores He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the 1893 Women’s Suffrage Petition).
