Caro attended Ilam School of Fine Arts at Canterbury University graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Film. Caro went on to do a Certificate in Youthwork and then a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) through Victoria University. Caro has been involved in working with children, young people and schools her whole working life starting as a Boarding House Mistress at Somerville House in Brisbane. Back in New Zealand she has worked for Youth For Christ Lower Hutt as a youth worker with Ignite Sport, co-ordinated a local community playgroup in Waiwhetu and worked for 5 years teaching visual art years 1-13 at Wa Ora Montessori School.

Caro was ordained a deacon in the Anglican Church of Aotearoa New Zealand in November 2016 and has worked in a voluntary capacity as a deacon in the parish of Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt ever since.

Caro feels a duel call to the diaconate and the field of education and brings her creativity and passion to both of these roles. Caro is enthusiastic about helping and nurturing students and all people to find their God given creativity and calling.

Caro joined Chilton in 2018 as the School Chaplain and also teaches years 1-9 Religious Studies and year 7 Visual Art.

Caro is kept busy outside of school with her three young daughters and she loves walking in the hills, mountain biking, gardening and painting in her leisure time.
