Onosai is married to Amy and they have 4 sons. Onosai is the Assistant Chaplain to King’s College, Head of Community Service and Teacher of Religious Studies. Onosai serves on the Board at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and the Papatoetoe Rugby Club. Onosai was a professional rugby player and won a Gold medal playing Rugby 7’s at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and also was in the NZ U19’s rugby team winning the Jr Rugby World Cup. Onosai represented the Blues, Auckland, Counties and Sale in the English Premiership. Since retiring, Onosai and Amy own and operate a picture framing business specializing in sporting memorabilia. Onosai has a passion for writing music and has recorded an album, and currently working on a contemporary acoustic worship EP. Onosai’s hobbies are playing social squash and “cross the river” with his sons in the lounge.
