Welcome to Mannie Marara

Welcome to Mannie Marara

Mannie Marara has been a part of our Anglican Schools’ network for years already, as a teacher at St George’s. However now we welcome him warmly as a chaplain. Mannie is starting at Hadlow Prep this year, and although we are very sad to farewell Philippa Young, it is great that we have someone of Mannie’s caliber to take her place.

In Mannie’s words: I was born in Rhodesia [now Zimbabwe] and raised in a Christian family. I grew up seeing service for others as an integral part of life in a community. My recent time as a vestry member in my local church exposed me to the work that is needed for our Christian community and Anglican family to thrive. The global Anglican Church and Christianity as a whole are going through some turbulence as faith or a lack of it are under a bit of a spotlight. Involvement in discipleship work also gave me the courage to realise that we all have a part to play in affecting change. I want to play my own small part in helping build understanding around the good news that Christianity has to share.
